Wayfield Primary School
At Wayfield we inspire our children and staff to be ‘Proud to Achieve.’ Wayfield is an incredible school and we believe we are all capable of so many amazing things. We believe that our children get the best deal and we inspire greatness from all.
It is vital that we give our children as many different experiences as possible to ensure they are well equipped to succeed in today’s rapidly changing society. Our curriculum is carefully designed with the children’s specific needs and interests in mind. As a result, our children have the opportunity to experience visiting many different places both locally, further across the country and Europe.
Children have the opportunity to experience a trip to the theatre every year, weekly music tuition and an hour of sport everyday led by specialist teachers to list just a few. As a school we are at the forefront of technology development, with our children having the opportunity to have a 1:1 computing device at school and at home helping them to adapt and learn in a similar style to the current expectations of working life.
Our curriculum is built on the firm foundations of providing our children with excellent English and Maths skills. Our expectations are consistently high; not just from us as educators but of the children and families that join together to constitute a vibrant learning community.
Wayfield is about teamwork and about forming binding, positive relationships built on mutual trust. We have many opportunities for home and school to work closely together. Parents and carers are welcomed termly to learning showcases and in class training sessions.
The future is in the making in the present. We are all here to support our children and their aspirations; investing in the citizens and workforce of tomorrow. Headteacher, Tim Williams is rightly proud to lead such a progressive, enthusiastic and happy school.
