In short, very! School performance is directly monitored by the Regional Schools Commissioner’s office and we have a strong parent and community engagement programme to ensure that the parent voice is properly heard and acted upon. The school also retains a Local Governing Body.

Central procurement of services and economies of scale generate efficiencies that are ploughed back into the classroom. In addition, we give Headteachers the freedom to spend money according to their vision for the school. Both serve to reduce bureaucracy and increase impact.

Much of The PFT’s work with the school will be behind the scenes. Parents and children are unlikely to see any physical changes; we will not change the name of the school, the uniform, the times of the school day or the dates of school terms. The school will continue to offer before and after school clubs and all their other activities for the children.
