Cuxton Infant and Junior School
The Academy of Cuxton Schools are 2 village schools set in an area of woodland called 6 Acre Wood. The original Infant school was built in 1905 and over the years has been extended. On the same site is the Junior school, opened in 1968. Both schools became Academies on 1st September 2014 and are now working as one primary school under the Headteacher and leadership team.
In December 2015, building work was completed to join the two buildings and provide extra capacity both in the Early Years and Key Stage 2. Our overarching aim is to provide an environment where a love of learning is fostered.
We work hard to develop individual potential through academic and personal achievement, and to raise self-esteem and confidence. Parental involvement is crucial - we believe in building strong relationships with parents to enable us to secure high levels of achievement.
Our core values are enjoy, aspire, explore, respect, believe and community and through our curriculum we enable children to thrive. The curriculum is designed to maximise experiential learning opportunities for our children, and these allow our children to flourish and develop a thirst for knowledge.
