We are the founding school of a trust, The Primary First Trust, which currently consists of eight primary schools in Medway, Kent and Bexley. This gives us a wide support network and allows our staff to grow professionally and our children to achieve excellence.

 

We would like to offer a part-time post of 17.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year to provide one to one support for a child with additional educational needs in Reception starting as soon as possible. The contract is temporary and will last for the period of time that the child remains at our school.

 

Experience of working in the early years, with a good understanding of child development would be expected. The child concerned has complex needs and an ASD diagnosis. A secure understanding of strategies to support children with autism is expected. This role will require some flexibility and liaison with teaching and midday supervising staff to ensure the child is safe, in class and at lunchtime. Support over the lunchtime would be required. Personal care for the child may be necessary at times.
